Offering a toolkit for designers of public transit systems.

The Transit Cooperative Research Program

This digital document is a compilation of best practices for ensuring that the unique needs of women and families using public transit are mindfully considered when designing transportation systems. It covers topics such as offering resources that help people plan their trip, personal safety considerations, and the functional design of transit stops, amenities, and vehicles.

The design concept cues to a dynamic and vibrant patchwork quilt that represents family, complexity, and security. The 50-ish page document is filled with layered content containing diagrams, tools, case studies, and images.
